2013 Event Information
Nearly 70 local restaurants and beverage wholesalers came together Thursday evening, June 6, to showcase specialties dishes and drinks to some 1,200 attendees gathered at the Touchdown Club at EverBank Field during the 23rd Annual Jacksonville FOODFIGHT benefiting Second Harvest North Florida.
Between community attendance, sponsorships, silent auctions and raffles, the event grossed nearly $90,000 - an amount that will create 630,000 meals for those who are hungry or food insecure in northeast Florida.
Jacksonville FOODFIGHT committee chair Eddie Fink said the event has raised more than $1 million since its inception in 1989 to support Second Harvest - an effort that has provided 7 million meals to hundreds and thousands of hungry families across the First Coast.
"FOODFIGHT remains a fun and delicious way for people to join the fight to solve hunger and help those in need," Fink said. "With Second Harvest's ability to stretch every dollar into seven meals, this event always makes a significant impact in helping First Coast families."
